Sensor-Cloud(Sensor as a Service)

It is not only the integration of WSN and cloud computing and not only dumping the sensor data into the cloud. First, understand the key points of  WSN and cloud Computing:

WSN:
1: Contain sensors which sense some physical information from the environment.
2: Transmit the sensed data through wireless communication to the centralized unit, known as Sink  Node
3: The communication between the sink node and other sensor nodes in the network may be single/multi-hop
4: Sink node further process data

Cloud Computing:
An architecture that provides on-demand computing resources.
 1: Elasticity: Scaling up/down
2: Pay per use: Payment for the resources as per requirements
3: Self Service: Resource can be accessed by itself.

Clouding computing services:

1: Software as a Services(SaaS)
A third party provides a host application over the internet
     Ex: Microsoft Office 365

2: Platform as a Services(PaaS)
Provide a platform to develop and run applications
    Ex: Windows Azure

3: Infrastructure as a Services(IaaS)
    Provide computing resources
    Ex: Storage space

Sensor-Cloud:

It is the concept of virtualization of the sensor node

Actors in Sensor-cloud
End‐users
Enjoy Se‐aaS through applications as per the requirements.
Unknown about what and which physical sensor is/are       allocated to serve the  application

Sensor‐owner
Plays a role from a business perspective.
They purchase physical sensor devices, deployed over   different geographical locations, and lend these devices to the sensor‐cloud

Sensor‐Cloud Service Provider (SCSP)
        A business actor.
SCSP charges price from the end‐users as per their usage of Se‐aaS.
